Thirty-three people were arraigned Wednesday at the Pike County Courthouse.

An arraignment is a hearing before a judge in which a defendant enters a plea of guilty or innocent.

According to the Pike County Circuit Court docket, 33 criminal cases are listed.

The simple docket lists the following cases: State of Alabama v. Alphonso Barrow, who is charged with robbery first degree; State of Alabama v. Cedric L. Benton, receiving stolen property second degree; State of Alabama v. Michael Jerom Collier, forgery second degree; State of Alabama v. Kevin Dansby, arson first degree; State of Alabama v. William G. Dempsey, manslaughter; State of Alabama v. Michael Paul Gibson, two counts of receiving stolen property first degree, one count receiving stolen property second degree, two counts arson second degree; State of Alabama v. Christopher Grace, receiving stolen property second degree; State of Alabama v. John R. Harris, burglary third degree; State of Alabama v. Harold D. Holt, murder; State of Alabama v. Brenda Kelley, two counts of distribution of a controlled substance; State of Alabama v. Cheryl J. Little, theft of property first degree; State of Alabama v. John Maddox, two counts distribution of a controlled substance; State of Alabama v. Daniel Parker, rape first degree; State of Alabama v. Shahidah Paul, distribution of a controlled substance; State of Alabama v. Willie Pennington, two counts distribution of a controlled substance; State of Alabama v. Elaine Siler, forgery second degree; State of Alabama v. Trina Snipes, burglary third degree; State of Alabama v. Willie Starks Jr., assault first degree; State of Alabama v. Morris L. Thornton Jr., receiving stolen property second degree; State of Alabama v. Christopher Townsend, possession of marijuana first degree; State of Alabama v. Issac Turner, receiving stolen property second degree; State of Alabama v. Shantez Walker, assualt second degree; State of Alabama v.
