Lady Trojans win tight one with JD

The No. 3 ranked Charles Henderson softball team pulled out a 4-2 win Thursday against Jeff Davis.
Betsy White (22-7) got the win for CHHS pitching a complete game and allowing only four hits. She struck out one and gave up no walks in the contest.
Emily Christian had the game-winning two-RBI double in the seventh inning that broke open a 2-2 tie for the Lady Trojans.
Charles Henderson had fought back from a 1-0 deficit scoring two in the fourth off RBI singles by Christie Bradley and Elizabeth Roundtree.
Kelly Miller also returned for the Lady Trojans at shortstop after being out due to an injured shoulder.
Rachel Herring picked up the loss for Jeff Davis allowing four hits and striking out eight, but walking five.
Next up for the Lady Trojans is a Monday matchup with Eufaula. The junior varsity team will begin at 4:30 with the varsity team starting afterward.
