A Sunday morning accident claimed the lives of two brothers, one of whom was a Goshen resident.
Frank Young, 76, of Goshen and William Young, 72, of Montgomery were killed when their vehicle was struck on Alabama 29, eight miles south of Troy just before noon Sunday.
The accident, which was reported at 11:55 a.m. occurred when the car occupied by the Youngs pulled out of a driveway and was struck by a vehicle driven by Ricky Allen Johnson, 36, of Brantley.

According to the Alabama State Troopers, the Youngs were not wearing seatbelts.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Another accident near the Pike County line on U.S. Highway 231 claimed the life of a Fort Myers, Fla., woman Friday afternoon.

Karen Sue Braat, the driver and only occupant in her vehicle, was killed when she lost control of her vehicle and it overturned "several" times according to Trooper reports.
Braat was "ejected" from the vehicle and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter, Troopers said. Preliminary investigation failed to determine whether Braat was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the accident.
