When there is reason to celebrate, the Senior Circle Chapter at Edge Regional Medical Center celebrates. And, there is more than a good reason to celebrate this week as the Circle celebrates its first anniversary Wednesday.
In its first year of existence, the Senior Circle has passed all expectations. The number of participants is as great as the enthusiasm for the program.
Faye Lunsford, circle advisor, said she could not be more pleased with the participation and she expects a large turnout for the anniversary celebration from 2 until 4 p.m. Wednesday under the tent on the front lawn of ERMC.
Musical entertainment will be provided by popular local talents, Michael McLendon, Brandi Connell, Johnny Barron and Shelia Jackson.
The Merry Hearts Clowns from the Colley Senior Complex will
bring their merriment to the festivities and assist with the drawings for door prizes.
Two grand prizes of $50 in groceries will highlight the giveaways.
ERMC will provide free blood pressure checks for all seniors 50 and over. Glucose and cholesterol screenings will be given for $10.
Refreshments will be served during a time of fellowship and all members of the Senior Circle are encouraged to attend this celebration event.
In case of rain, the celebration will be held in the classroom on the second floor of the hospital.
The Senior Circle is sponsored by Edge Regional Medical Center, an affiliated hospital of CHS. Senior Circle is a non-profit organization committed to enriching the lives of adults.
