TABL Marlins improve to 5-2

In Thursday night Troy Amateur Baseball League action
the Marlins beat the Diamondbacks 11-1 to improve their record to 5-2 on the season. The Diamondbacks fell to 2-4.
Ed Jones, Jacob Forrest, Jernick Lewis, Robert Percise, Hewey Lewis, and Fred Holland all had Hits for the Marlins.
Rickey Herring was the winning pitcher for the Marlins, giving up just five hits on the night.
The Diamondbacks were lead by Nathen Bright with two hits. David McDaniel, Adam Pritchet and Jeff Weed also all had hits for the Diamondbacks. Clay Bright was the losing pitcher.
League leaders, the Braves, will be in action on Sunday in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. at Frazier Field. The Braves will play the Orioles in the first contest, with a game against the Diamondbacks to follow.
