CHHS wins two at Barbour County

Both the Charles Henderson Trojans and Lady Trojans took home wins over Barbour County on Tuesday night in Clayton.
Clarissa Parker scored seven of her 11 points in overtime to help CHHS claim their eighth victory of the season, 56-48.
The Lady Trojans were down 19-12 at the half but came out playing man-to-man in the third quarter and forced 11 Barbour County turnovers. CHHS took advantage and went on a 19-4 run during the period. The Lady Jaguars came back in the fourth to outscore CHHS 19-10 and send the game into overtime.
Jenean Deveridge led Charles Henderson with 21 points, followed by Parker with her 11 as well as 11 rebounds. Carla Hollis pulled down 13 boards and had eight points, while Kelly Miller finished with seven points and six assists.
The Trojans handed Barbour County a 70-67 loss and improved to 10-6 on the season. It was the third time this season that CHHS has defeated the Jaguars.
Trevon Hemphill led the way with 18 points and was followed by Jermaine Jackson, who had 14, Lawrence Mosley with 12 and Lakory Daniels finished with 10.
Lakeith Persons had 32 points and Antonio Thomas finished with 23 for Barbour County.
