Ohatchee tailback scores six touchdowns

Morris Young of Ohatchee High School scored six touchdowns and a total of 42 points to move into the prep football spotlight selected by the Alabama High School Athletic Association.
A survey of football games statewide is made weekly.
Young rushed for 227 yards and five touchdowns and caught a 46-yard scoring pass in a 52-39 win over Westbrook Christian. He also scored three two-point conversions in his 42-point performance, the sixth highest single game total in AHSAA history.
Other spotlight performances:
Jake Tompkins of Russellville completed 20 of 29 passes for 336 yards and four touchdowns in a 44-0 victory over Coffee.
Clayton Payne threw two touchdowns passes, kicked two field goals and an extra point for all of Maplesville’s points in a 19-16 triumph over Jemison.
Brian Robertson of Brooks ran 18 times for 244 yards and three touchdowns in a 28-7 win over Rogers.
Josh McConico ran for three touchdowns (30, 8 and 33 yards) and returned two punts for TDS (54 and 58 yards) in Leroy’s 57-12 victory over McKenzie.
Justin Bellamy of Austin rushed 28 times for 225 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-7 triumph over Grissom.
Cody McAteer completed 10 of 16 passes for 190 yards and three touchdowns and also ran for a pair of touchdowns in Collinsville’s 50-20 victory over Spring Garden.
Jacob Brantley of St. Clair County ran 28 times for 262 yards and three touchdowns in a 33-13 win over West Blocton.
Chauncey Malone rushed five times for 159 yards and scored four touchdowns as West Morgan defeated Hazlewood for the first time in 33 years, 47-6.
Nate Carden of American Christian rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns, recorded 20 tackles and returned a fumble recovery 52 yards for a touchdown in a 31-28 overtime loss to Hamilton.
Tuscaloosa County’s 41-21 win over Hueytown gave Coach Robert Higginbotham his 200th career victory.
Clay Segrest of Huntsville completed 11 of 17 passes for two touchdowns, ran for a touchdown and intercepted two passes in a 31-14 triumph over Bob Jones.
Damarcus Russell of Williamson completed 10 of 15 passes for 216 yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 21-0 win over B. C Rain.
Durrell Jackson rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns in a 40-14 victory over East Lawrence.
Matt Evans of Oak Mountain completed 12 of 17 passes for 224 yards and four TDs in a 35-0 triumph over Chilton County.
Andrew McMichen, connecting on his first 16 attempts, completed 19 of 22 passes for 217 yards and teammate Tony Hendon caught a touchdown pass, recorded 11 tackles, intercepted two passes and recovered a fumble in Sand Rock’s 24-0 win over Ider.
Tom Sutton of Weaver rushed for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns and also intercepted two passes in a 25-6 victory over Cherokee County.
Allen Long rushed 17 times for 221 yards and three touchdowns in Addison’s 40-6 win over Meek.
Matt Pierce of UMS-Wright caught two passes for 110 yards and returned a punt 45 yards to set up a touchdown in a 41-13 triumph over Andalusia.
