Troy and Brundidge celebrate Natural Gas Week

The Southeast Alabama Gas District is observing Public Natural Gas Week Oct. 1 through 5 along with hundreds of other natural gas systems across the nation.
Public Natural Gas Week is a cooperative effort among all segments of the natural gas industry and increases public awareness of the advantages of public gas, said James H. Smith, Southeast Alabama Gas District, president and CEO.
"Natural gas is among the cleanest and most affordable fuel available," Smith said. "The employees and management of the Southeast Alabama Gas District are pleased and excited to be able to participate in this important effort."
The Southeast Alabama Gas District will observe Public Natural Gas Week with an open house at
each of the company’s three divisional offices – Dothan, Enterprise and Andalusia.
In addition smaller celebrations will take place in offices in Brundidge, Troy, Abbeville, Daleville, Elba, Eufaula, Ft. Deposit, Greenville, Headland, Luverne, Opp and Ozark.
A final day of celebration will take place today in several offices including Brundidge and Troy.
In Brundidge, refreshements will be served and there will be a drawing for prizes. Also, all items in stock will be 20 percent off during the day. Customers are invited to stop in for a visit and to register for the drawing.
