(Shorty) Roten, 90, of Troy who died Monday Feb., 25, 2002

At Edge Regional Medical Center will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2002 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Price officiating.

Burial will follow in Macedonia (Stills Cross Roads) Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p. m. until 8 p. m. Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the funeral home. Mr. Roten will lie in state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. prior to the service.

Mr. Roten was preceded in death by his wife, Maudie Lee Roten

a son, Edgar Carey Roten, Jr. and a grandson ,

David Sanchez, Jr.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Charles and Mary Roten of Troy; daughter-in-law, Audrey Roten of Troy; 5 grandchildren, John Roten, Joann Roten and Melissa Roten, all of Troy and Edward Roten and Billy Joe Roten of Jacksonville, Fl.; 4 great-grandchildren, Jake Roten and Alexander Hocutt of Troy, Charles Roten, JR and Megan Roten of Jacksonville, Fla.
