Carl Bank Leverette

A memorial service for Carl Bank Leverette, 70, of Dothan who died Sunday, March 10, 2002 at his home will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday March, 13, 2002 at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. Sam Brassell officiating.

Mr. Leverette was born February 7, 1932 in Pike County. He was the son of Gid Leverette & Eva Crumpley Leverette. Mr. Leverette was retired from

the Dothan City School System after 30 years of service and he was a member of Southside Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his son David Bruce Leverette.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Leverette of Dothan; sons, and wife, Bert Leverette, Robert Leverette and Ben and Pam Leverette all of Dothan; brother, Thomas Leverette; Grandchildren, Ashley, Jessica , Judson, Brandi and Amber; and a special friend, Ted

Hall of Dothan.

The family requests donations be made to Houston-Love Memorial Library, 305 6th. Ave., Dothan, Al. or Covenant Hospice, 208 W. Brunson Ave., Enterprise, Al.

Friday March 8, 2002 at Edge Regional Medical Center will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday March 13, 2002 at Sweet Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church in the Shiloh Community with Pastor Nathaniel Larkin officiating.

Burial will be in Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Churchyard Cemetery under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Mr. Wheeler was born July 26, 1946 in Pike County, His parents were West Wheeler, Sr. and Mildred Copeland Wheeler. He was a member of Sweet Pilgrim Baptist Church and worked dutifully as a deacon, usher and sang in the Senior Choir. He was also a member of Prosperity Masonic Lodge #934.

Survivors include his wife, Annie Ree Ousley of Banks; 2 sons and wife, Willie and Tina Wheeler of Troy and Tommy Hampton, Jr. of Banks; 8 daughters and their husbands, Johnnie Pearl and Craig Cannon, Annette Wheeler, Aretha and Ricardo Jackson, Crystal and Lorencer Scott all of

Banks, Phyllis and Earl Rodgers and Mary Helen and Alphonso Holland of Brundidge, Jessica Mosley and Sara and Vernon Jones of Troy; brother and his wife, West and Helen Wheeler of Dothan;, 4 sisters and husband, Minnie and D.C. Wilson, Mae Ola Collins, Dorothy Lee and Mildred Townsend all of Troy; father-in-law, Richard Ouley of Apopka, Florida; a special sister-in-law, Charolette Green of Dothan; 21 grandchildren and several other relatives and friends.
