Softball rosters named for sports week

MONTGOMERY ­ Teams and coaches for the North-South fast pitch softball teams competing during the sixth annual Alabama All-Star Sports Week here July 15-20 have been announced by the Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association.
Both rosters are composed of upcoming seniors.
The all-star series will include three games on Wednesday, a single contest at 10:30 a.m. and a doubleheader beginning at 6 p.m.
Sports Week features in-state all-star games in volleyball, girls and boys basketball, football, baseball and softball.
Also included are clinics and sessions for coaches, athletic directors, cheerleader coaches and officials.
A product exposition and other related activities are scheduled throughout the week.
Coaches for the NORTH team are Pam Galbreath of Lee-Huntsville and Angie Hall of Southside-Gadsden.
Susan Barnes is the softball administrative coach.
The members of the North team include:
Infielders: Emily Brewer of Sylacauga, Jenna Robison of Clay-Chalkville, Ashley Carlisle of Ragland, Anna Bailey of Brooks and Kristina McCain of Gardendale.
Outfielders: Jennifer Harrison of Muscle Shoals and Lindsay Stanley of Clay-Chalkville.
Pitchers:
Rachel Thompson of Hoover, Holly Currie of Pisgah, Katy White and Shelley Stanley of Decatur, Jessica McKleroy of Bob Jones and Melissa Stewart of Athens.
Catcher:
Stephanie Pinto of Grissom and Holly Elliot of Mountain Brook.
Coaching the SOUTH team are Ed Crum of Auburn and Randy Stough of Wetumpka.
South team members are:
Infielders:
Brooke Powell and Amber Schroeder of Clarke County, Abby Orr of Alabama Christian, Ann Jones of Trinity, Mildred Majors of St. James, Nichole Woodard of Gulf Shores and Lindsey Bedsole of Baker.

Cyrena Duncan of Robertsdale, Chasity English of Baldwin County, Megan Miller of St. James and Sheri White of Davidson, .

The Alabama High School Athletic Directors and Coaches Association operates under the auspices of the Alabama High School Athletic Association.
Membership includes coaches of all AHSAA sports as well as administrators of member schools.
