Lucy Maurine Berry
Graveside services for Lucy Maurine Berry, 84, of the Tenille Community who died Monday July 21, 2003 at Edge Regional Medical Center in Troy will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday July 23, 2003 at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Brundidge with Rev. Royce Richards officiating.
Burial will be under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday July 22, 2003 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Berry was born July 7, 1919. Her parents were John Richards and Juanita Johns. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church in Brundidge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Berry; two sons, Richard Russell Berry and Donnie Lynn Berry; brother, Wilbur Otis Richards and a son-in-law, Bascon Senn.
Survivors include two sons and their wives, James and Mary Jo Berry of Dothan and Ray and Linda Berry of Ariton; three daughters and their husbands, Jeanette Senn of Brundidge, Martha and Roan Keavney of Dothan and Carolyn and Jack Bond of Panama City, Florida; daughter-in-law, Deborah Berry of Brundidge; fourteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, William Royce and Ingrid Richards of Banks, Rex and Shirley Richards of Columbus, Georgia, Jimmy and Pam Richards of Jacksonville, Florida and Kathryn Richards of Phenix City; two sisters, Edna Nolan of Savannah, Georgia and Doris Hocutt of McCalla.
Jewel Baker
Services for Jewel Baker, 87, of the Elba Nursing Home in Elba who died Tuesday July 22, 2003 at Elba General Hospital will be at 11 a.m. Thursday July 24, 2003 at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Revs. Marvin Jackson and J. C. Turner officiating.
Burial will be in Henderson Memorial Cemetery in Henderson
under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday July 23, 2003 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Brantley Baker and a grandson, David Baker.
Survivors include three daughters and their husbands, Tessie Baker and C.W. Riley of Ariton, Lois Baker and Wayne Whittaker of Enterprise and Taffy Baker and Jeff Kelley of Panama City Beach, Florida; three sons and their wives, Chester Baker of Highland Home, Larry and Estin Baker of Glenwood and Lewie and Amy Baker of Troy; seventeen grandchildren; thirty one great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Lucy Knight of Troy.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Henderson Baptist Church.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Henderson Memorial Cemetery Fund.
