The Troy Amateur Baseball League will hold its one-day playoff at Charles Henderson's baseball field Sunday.
The three-team playoff for the championship will begin at 2:05 p.m. The Pirates, who finished third in the regular season, will battle the Luverne Braves in that game. The winner will play the regular season champions, the Marlins, in the second game of the doubleheader.
Although the Marlins won the regular season with only a single loss, the director of the league said Sunday's games should all be exciting.
"The TABL has had a good year," James Henderson said. "The competition has been very good; any team in the league could win the playoff."
Henderson also promised an exciting brand of baseball for anyone who deiced to watch the playoff.
"All regular season games have been close," Henderson said. "The 'big hit' has won many of the games.
"Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy some good baseball games. You'll be glad you did."
