Alan Keith Shipman
Services for Alan Keith Shipman, 39, of Louisville, who died in Louisville on Monday, December 1, 2003, are 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 at Pea River Presbyterian church in Louisville with the Rev. James Pitts officiating. Burial will follow at the Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. A one-hour lie-in-state will precede the services.
Mr. Shipman is survived by his wife Kim Shipman; son, James Alexander Shipman; daughter, Jessica Elizabeth Shipman, all of Louisville; parents James and Rebecca Shipman of Troy; brother and sister-in-law, James Terry and Linna Shipman of Troy; and nephews Billy and Nathan Shipman of Troy.
Pallbearers are Terry Shipman, Jose Pizarro, Anthony Kersey, Mark Hall, Gary Harper and Wes Danford. Honorary pallbearers are his co-workers at Easterling Correctional Facility.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
Johnnie Lee Bolton
Services for Johnnie Lee Bolton, 89, of Troy, who died Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Magnolia Wood Lodge on the Elba Highway, are 3 p.m. today at the Harrison Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Earnest Green officiating.
Visitation was 3 to 5 p.m. Dec. 2 at Harrison Funeral Home in Troy.
Mrs. Bolton was born Nov. 11, 1914 to the late Mr. Ciscero D. Jones and Mrs. Sallie Kirkland Jones in Pike County.
She is survived by two sisters, Evergreen Miller and Magdalene Crook of Pittsburg, Penn.; one granddaughter, Beverly Brown-Hinkley of Cincinnati, Ohio; a great granddaughter, Lori Gibbons of Rochester, N.Y.; two great-great granddaughters, Joscelyne Gordon and Antonia Gibbons of Rochester, N.Y.; a niece, Annie Pearl Gipp of Troy; and a host of other relatives and friends.
