Agnes S. Smith
Services for Agnes S. Smith, 86, of Troy who died Saturday, April 10, 2004, at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, at First Baptist Church of Troy with Dr. Ed Walter officiating and under the direction of Dillard Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy.
Visitation will be 9:30 until 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, at First Baptist Church of Troy.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband Robson Smith and a sister, Dorothy Moore.
Mrs. Smith is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Mack Gibson of Troy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gilford R. and
Kathy Smith of Atlanta, Ga. and Walter and Sandy Smith of East Hampton, Conn.; a brother and sister-in-law, Furman P. and Faye Smith of Sheffield; grandchildren, Bart Smith, Ren Smith, Melanie and David Geary, Andrew Gibson, Natalie Smith, Erica Smith and Josh Smith and a great-grandchild, McKenzie Griffin.
Pallbearers will be Bart Smith, Andrew Gibson, Josh Smith, David Geary, George Mack Smith and Wayne Gibson. Honorary pallbearers will be James Roy Harrell, John M. Smith, Joyce Rainey, Linda Hamm, Elaine McLeod and the staff and residents of Nobel Manor.
Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church or the Pike County Relay for Life.
Betty Sue McLeod
Services for Betty Sue McLeod, 74, of 409 Smart Road, Troy, who died Friday, April 9, 2004, at Baptist Medical Center Princeton in Birmingham, will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel, Troy with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home directing. The body will lie in state one hour prior to the service.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, April 12 at Skeen Funeral Home, Troy.
Mrs. McLeod was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Pike County. Her parents were Felix Harris and Johnnie Best Harris. She was retired from the shirt factory.
Mrs. McLeod was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Rayford McLeod.
She is survived by two sons, Ferrell McLeod, Troy, and Robert Earl McLeod, Georgia; a daughter, Janice McLeod, Kentucky; grandchildren, Stephanie Turner, Birmingham; Nicole McLeod, Troy; Nicole Paradise, Upton, Ken.; Jeffery Paradise, Hollywood; Scott Paradise, Hollywood; Leshae Lott, Goshen; great-grandchildren, Justin McIntry, Upton, Ken.; Shelby Nicole Paradise, Scottsboro; Megan Middlebrooks, Katie Middlebrooks and Julie Middlebrooks, all of Birmingham and
two sisters, Sara Jane Ressler and Rosa Nell Sanders, both of Troy.
The family requests memorials be made to the Colley Senior Complex, Troy.
Otha B. Bradberry
Services for Otha B. Bradberry, 71, of Grady, who died Wednesday, April 7, 2004 at Dale County Hospital in Ozark, were 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 82 in Bullock County with the Rev. E.D. Glover officiating.
Burial followed in the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Cemetery in Bullock County under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home in Troy.
Mr. Bradberry was born April 20, 1932 in Bullock County and received his education in the Bullock County Schools.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Brasewell and Mattie Bradberry; brother, Alfonsa Bradberry; sister, Rosetta Young; and son-in-law, Walter Williams.
Mr. Bradberry is survived by his daughter, Alsma R. Hollinghead Williams of Pine Level; six grandchildren, Leslie Williams of Montgomery, Bessie Williams of Atlanta, Walter (Jackie) Williams of Pine Level, Tyrone (Marisol) Williams of Barstow, CA, Willie J. (Sabrina) Williams of Montgomery, and Stacy M. Williams of Pine Level; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Isophine Maynard of Montgomery, and Willie Lee Jones of Detroit, MI; one aunt, Edna Bailey of Pensacola, FL; a very special and devoted friend, Katie M. Hollinghead of Ramar; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
Pallbearers and Flower Bearers will be friends of the family.
