Mattie Elizabeth Stewart

Services for Mattie Elizabeth Stewart, 91, of Troy who died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 24, 2004 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Rev. Virgil Wilkes officiating. She

will lie-in-state from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service.

Burial will be in Sandfield Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, October 23, 2004 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Stewart was born July 22, 1913 in Pike County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Willis Stewart; five children, Frances Miles, Carlos Stewart, Charles Stewart, Bobby Stewart and Shirley Stewart and her parents, Andrew and Mary Wilkes Pittman.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Bill and Betty Stewart of Troy; four daughters and their husbands, Doris and Tip Boutwell and Judith and Clarence Butler of Troy, Sue and Lawrence Carnley and Charlotte and Jeff Offenberger of Brantley; twenty five

grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons and friends of the family.
