Hazel Beard Pouncey
Hazel Beard Pouncey, 83, of Troy died at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery on Tuesday, January 18, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home on Thursday, January 20, 2005,
from 12 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park on Thursday, January 20, 2005, at 2 p.m., with Elder Scott Sexton officiating. The pallbearers will be John Beard, Robert Drinkard, Ben Beard, Billy Richburg, Ronnie Calhoun, Ralph Shirley and Tony Johnson. The honorary pallbearer will be Bill Price.
Survivors include sons, Jimmy L. (Geri) Pouncey, Jr. of Troy, John D. (Diane) Pouncey of Fayette; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; sisters, Louise Calhoun of Troy and Mary Edna (Sanders) Shirley of Goodhope; special friends, Ed Davis of Sumpter, S.C., and Jean Register of Troy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie L. Pouncey.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Bernard Richburg, 8091 County Road 2290, Goshen, Alabama

Minnie Temple
Services for Minnie Temple, 76, of Troy who died January 6, 2005, at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 1 p.m. January 20, 2005, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Charlie Sankey, Sr. officiating.
Burial will be in Shady Grove Church Cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be January 19 from 12:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born October 22, 1927, in the Ballard Hill Community of Troy and attended Elam Community School System. Minnie enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otis Temple and Rosie L. Youngblood Temple.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty L. Temple; son; Charles Temple and a sister and her husband, Lou Emma and Mathaniel Larkin all of Troy; six grandchildren, Shonda Reynolds of Sharon, Pennsylvania, Jimmy Reynolds, Jr., Twanna Temple, Corey Temple, Stephanie Temple and Jarvis Siler, all of Troy; four great-grandsons; daughter-in-law, Gloria Reynolds of Troy; sister-in-law, Ora Lee Simmons of Troy and several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
Floral Bearers will be her nieces.
Frances Reeves Brooks Faulkner
Frances Reeves Brooks Faulkner, 89, of Union Springs died Tuesday, January 18, 2005. Graveside services will be Wednesday, January 19, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Dr. Matt Helms officiating. Gray Funeral Home is directing.
Survivors include two brothers, Sam B. Reeves of Union Springs, and Donald Reeves of Troy; and one sister, Emma Nell Price Roughton of Wetumpka.
