William Flinn "Bill" Curtis
William Flinn "Bill" Curtis, 59, of Opelika, died Saturday September 10, 2005, at his home.
Funeral services will be Monday, Sept. 12, 2005, at 3 p.m. from the graveside in Garden Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, Sept. 11 , 2005 rom 3-5 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home.He was born May 24, 1946, in Luverne.
He worked as a probation officer for the State of Alabama for 32 years in Dadeville, LaFayette and Opelika as a district supervisor.
He was active in the Alabama State Employee Association and he served in the Alabama National Guard for 26 years. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Opelika.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Curtis of Opelika;
daughters, Hope Curtis of Montgomery and Beth Yates of Valley; sons, Scott (Keri) Ganble of Pensacola, Fla. And Jay (Stephanie) Bedsole of Montgomery; sisters, Kay (Bee) Ganble) of Pensacola and Nikki (Dennis) Carver of Huntsville; brothers, Harry (Verbie) Curtis of Troy, Chris (Debbie) Curtis of Montgomery, Joe (Michelle) Curtis of Silver Hill and Robert (Fleshia) Curtis of Huntsville; a grandchild, Brittany Yates of Valley and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
