Wilma Jean Raley Tompkins Messick
Services for Wilma Jean Raley Tompkins Messick, 75, of Troy, who died at Troy Regional Medical Center Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church, with the Rev. Rudy Phillips, the Rev. Les Teal and Dr. Don Hatcher officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. With Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Her parents, Jeff and Valle Raley; two sisters, Elouise Raley Moore and Myra Raley Layton; and two brothers, Harold Raley and James Raley preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Woodrow Messick of Troy; four daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Mitchell Harris of Troy, Janice Dunn of Troy, Brenda Thomas of Troy, and Rita and Julius Walters of Troy; five sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie Tompkins of Springhill, Randy and Brenda Tompkins of Montgomery, Donnie and Melody Tompkins of Troy, William and Linda Messick of Opp, and Grady Messick of Aurora, Colo.; a step-daughter, Sandra Messick Turner of Dothan; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Margaret Mcleod of Luverne, Sue Ann and Otis Acree of Dallas, Ga., and Mary and Jerry Powell of Panama City, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, William and Jean Raley of Marietta, Ga.; grandchildren, Terry Lynn Laney Ingalls, Michelle Corley, Amanda Dunn Calhoun, Victoria Raley Dunn, Blake Thomas, Haley Walters, Trey Walters, Leighanne Tompkins, Stacey Karen Tompkins, Jessica Painter, Jacob Tompkins, Katrina Pannone, Brad Tompkins, Mason Tompkins, and Andrea, Ben and Spencer Messick; great-grandchildren, Jefferson Harris Laney, Justin Fredrick Laney, Louis Jones Corley IV, Harris Cathrine Corley, John Andrew Pannone and Hayden Breanne Messer.
Pallbearers are Blake Thomas, Trey Walters, Jay Corley, Buck Painter, Brad Tompkins, Mason Tompkins and John Calhoun. The honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren.
Memorials should be made to Ebenezer Baptist Church.
Syble June Lee Redmond
Services for Syble June Lee Redmond, 84, of Ramer, who died at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2006, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Dillard Funeral Home with the Rev. Floyd Noble officiating.
Burial will follow at Belser Cemetery.
Two infant sons preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Robert &uot;Bud&uot; Redmond of Ramer; daughter and son-in-law, Virginia &uot;Jenny&uot; and David Olive of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Jymalyn Redmond of Briar Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Jimmy Bozeman of Ramer; seven grandchildren, Jamie Bozeman, Amanda Redmond, Patrick, Jeffrey, and Jonathan Whatley and Robbie and Jim Redmond; four great-grandchildren, Logan, Lakin, Landon and Nora Whatley.
Pallbearers are Patrick Whatley, Jeffrey Whatley, Jonathan Whatley, Robbie Redmond, Jim Redmond and Norman Mckinney.
