Eva Lou Starks Thompson
Services for Eva Lou Starks Thompson, 72, of West Covina, Calif., who died Jan. 4, 2007, at C.V.M.C. Queen of the Valley Hospital in Azuza, Calif., will be at 1 p.m. today at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Banks with the Rev. Edward Starks officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation was Wednesday afternoon at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson was born July 31, 1934, in Troy. She attended Troy public schools and was employed as a department store attendant and associate. Mrs. Thompson
attended Nebon Missionary Baptist Church and St. Reed Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, Calif. She enjoyed fishing, making quilts and her life as a devoted homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Harold; son, Henry Arnold Sr. of Ridge Crest Calif.; grandson, Henry Aaron Thompson Jr. of Temecula, Calif.; granddaughter, Sequoyah Thornton Thompson of Riverside, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Ann Starks Boykin Copeland of Banks and Annie Jewel Starks Grider of Troy; three brothers, the Rev. Edward and Ruth Katherine Starks and Paul Starks of Perth Amboy, N.J., and A.J. Starks of Columbus, Ga.; aunt, Mildred Williams of Detroit, Mich.; sister-in-law, Shirley and Moses Beasley of Highland Park, Mich.; brother-in-law, Henry Thompson of Detroit; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
