Don’t let your eyes deceive you … www.troymessenger.com has a new look.
The Messenger launches a redesign of its award-winning website this weekend, along with a new partner website, www.picturepike.com.
“We’re excited about the redesign of our popular website,” said Stacy Graning, publisher, “We’ve tried to make changes and adjustments as suggested by our online readers and users, and we hope you’ll find navigating the site a bit easier.”
In addition, PicturePike is an outgrowth of the popular photo galleries launched by The Messenger earlier this summer.
“Our new website, www.picturepike.com, is much like a free on-line photo album for the community,” Graning said. “Not only will Messenger staff members continue to upload pictures each day from events and activities we ‘picture,’ but now anyone in the community can do the same. You can easily upload photos of whatever you ‘picture,’ from birthday parties to sporting events to club activities, family vacations … even pictures of your new baby.”
Users who wish to upload towww.picturepike.com or make comments on stories, articles and information posted on www.troymessenger.com, will need to register and log-in to the system. The registration link is found in the upper left-hand corner of the homepage. Please note, anyone who registered previously must register again, due to the change in platforms with the new website.
Some features of the site may be delayed in coming online, such as the archives. “Right now, we’ll only have archives for the past two weeks, but we hope to have all our on-line archives transitioned soon,” Graning said. “We hope you’ll be patient with us during the launch and transition.”
