A Pike County resident was killed in a one-vehicle accident late Friday.

According to information from the Alabama Department of Public Safety, Kenneth Ray Zellers, age 37, of Banks, was killed in the accident that occurred around 11 p.m. Friday, near the Josie community on County Road 6618. Zellers was traveling in a 1998 Ford when he wrecked.

No further details were available at press time on Saturday, and the crash is under investigation by the Alabama State Troopers.
