Johnnie B. Cotton, 82, of the Chestnut Grove Community died Wednesday, Jan. 7 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.
Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 8 at Skeen Funeral Home in Brundidge. Funeral Services will be Friday, Jan. 9 at 2 p.m. at Chestnut Grove Methodist Church in the Chestnut Grove Community.
Mr. Cotton will lie in state from 1-2 p.m. at the church one hour prior to the service.
He was born Aug. 29,1926 in Covington County, Ala.
Mr. Cotton was a retired sheet metal mechanic in the aircraft industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Garaham and Beulah Knotts Cotton and one brother, James Cotton.
Survivors include, wife Ouida Cotton of the Chestnut Grove Community, three sons and wives, Jimmy Ray and Karen Cotton, Ronnie and Paula Cotton and Lynn and Tracy Cotton, all of Chestnut Grove Commmunity. Eight grandchildren, Shann Bright, Chad Cotton, Adrianne Smith, Jessica Cotton, Alisha McLendon, Brad Cotton, Brandon Boldwin and Derrick Boldwin; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Rainey, Enterprise and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Ray Cotton, Chad Cotton, Lynn Cotton, Brad Cotton, Ronnie Cotton, Chad Bright, Andy Plant, Brandon Boldwin, Murrell Johnson, Randolph Ziglar, Clint Allen and Tony Messina.
