Bettie Roberts

Bettie Jeanette Roberts, 70, of Ten Acre Road, Panama City, Fla., born on Nov. 2, 1938, went to be with the Lord Feb. 6, 2009.
Bettie was loved by many who will miss her especially her children who describe her as a loving mom and best friend who was always there to listen without being judgmental.
She always had a hand out to anyone who was down on their luck by providing a meal, a ride or a place to stay.
Bettie spent her life witnessing to AA members and anyone else that was struggling with a co-dependency of alcohol or drugs.
Her favorite hobby was Bingo. She loves to shout out B-I-N-G-O!
Bettie is preceded in death by her parents Lula Mae Williams Phelps and Ellis Golden; three brothers Charlie Golden, Leon Golden, and Lloyd Golden; three sisters Louise Green, Gussie Culpepper, and Lola Yu.
Bettie is survived by her loving companion Jimmy Anglin; three sons, Sam Horton and wife Diane, Joseph Roberts and wife Lori, Tyrone Roberts and wife Tracy; three daughters Tina Morgan, Diana Jordan and Angie Roberts; and two step brothers Houston Phelps and wife Jody, Comer Lee Phelps and wife Beverly.
Bettie also leaves behind to treasure her memories 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Celebration of life will be held at Blood Bought Ministries The Filling Station 5412 E. Hwy 22 Panama City, Fla. at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 14, 2009.
