NEW ORLEANS — With the completion of the Sun Belt regular season, the conference released its seeds and pairings for the 2009 Sun Belt Conference Women’s Basketball Championships.

The top three seeds in both the men’s and women’s tournament receive byes into the quarterfinals. Teams seeded 4-8 host first round games at their home sites while teams seeded 9-13 go on the road for the first round.

All quarterfinal games from Hot Springs, Ark. will be Web cast on sunbeltsports.org, all semifinal games and the championship game will be televised live via the Sun Belt’s ESPN+ Regional TV Network.

The Troy University Trojans came within one game of receiving a bye to the quarterfinal round in the Sun Belt Conference standings, but following a Denver victory over North Texas, the Trojans (15-13, 10-8 Sun Belt) will enter the tournament as the fourth seed.

They will host Louisiana-Lafayette Wednesday night.

Tip off is set for 7 p.m. from Trojan Arena.
