STAFF REPORTS
Six have been transported to Troy Regional Medical Center after two vehicles collided and one overturned on Highway 167 Thursday afternoon.
No names have been released yet, but Alabama State Trooper Rodney Hawkins said three of the victims were small children.
Witnesses standing by said they saw a Roto Rooter van flip at least one time before landing upright on the side of Highway 167 in Springhill. There was only one passenger in the van, and local firefighters used Jaws Of Life to remove the driver from his vehicle.
The other vehicle was a black Dodge truck, with five passengers, including the three children.
Hawkins said he did not know the extent of the injuries at this time.
