Keaton named news editor at The Messenger

Holli Keaton has been named news editor of The Messenger.

Keaton, a 2008 graduate of Troy University, began working part-time with The Messenger in November 2007 as a reporter and joined the staff full-time in May 2008.

She has covered city and county government, education, courts, law enforcement and general assignments during her tenure.

She brings a commitment to fair coverage, along with a genuine concern for the well-being of the readers in Pike County to her new responsibilities,” said Stacy Graning, publisher of Troy Publications Inc.

Keaton, who is from Fairhope, is a member of the Pike County Young Professionals Organization and the Exchange Club of Troy. She is active in St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, where she serves as a youth minister and on the parish council. She was named “Woman of the Year” while at Troy University
