The Troy All Stars stayed alive in the Dixie Boys State Tournament after defeating Gordo 16-7 Sunday evening at Eufaula’s Old Creek Town Park.

Troy scored at least one run in six of the seven innings and never trailed.

Robert Benton led the Troy offense with four runs and a pair of doubles, Lawson Stewart scored three runs and belted a first-inning home run. Jaylin Lawson also hit a home run, and Michael Fox scored twice.

Blake Erkins scored twice to lead Gordo. Blake Burkhalter had two hits and a run.

Troy is scheduled to play at 9 a.m. Monday against either Saks or Westside-Mobile. Gordo was eliminated from the tournament with Sunday’s loss.
