Myrtle Taylor Davis, age 92, a resident of Troy, died Friday, July 24, 2009. Funeral Services were held Monday, July 27, at 11 am from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. W.O. Sanders officiating. Burial followed in the Green Hills Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing. Visitation was Sunday, July 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors include, five daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy and Bo Hood of Turtletown, Tenn., Billie Anne McLeod of Youngblood, Pat Tatum and Donnie Drinckard of Troy, Judy Bryant of Troy, Marie and Angus Lopez of Newton, Ga.; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Ann Taylor of Rutledge; two sisters, Helen Bozeman of Montgomery and Gertrude Coleman of Montgomery; 24 grandchildren; 39 great Grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Faye Knotts. Serving as pallbearers were her grandsons. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Diabetes Foundation or the Alzheimers Association.
