Louise Fleming Surratt
Surratt, Louise Fleming, 105, died at her residence in Montgomery, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Omer Reed; and second husband, Dr. Gerald Cloy Surratt.
She was also preceded in death by her parents W.L. Fleming and Ella Carmichael Fleming of Enterprise, AL and her brother, Earl M. Fleming, Sr. and sister-in-law, Emma Ruth Ellis Fleming of Ramer, AL.
She is survived by her nephews, Bill Fleming (Sharon) and Earl Fleming, Jr. (Mary Helen) both of Ramer as well as six great-nieces/nephews, and six great-great nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Surratt was a member of the Ramer United Methodist Church. She graduated from the University of Montevallo and taught school for 9 years in Brewton, AL before moving to Tuscumbia and opening a Pensions and Security office for the State of Alabama.
She served as Director for 41 years and retired in June 1976. Graveside service will be held at Enterprise City Cemetery on Wednesday, December 23 at 11:00 am with Reverend Cooper Stinson officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Pallbearers are Bill Fleming, Earl Fleming, Jr., Earl Fleming III, Eric Fleming, Greg Maxwell, and Billy Huneycutt.
