The Troy City Council approved a resolution Tuesday that will put it
in the health care business and raise taxes in Troy.
Troy Regional Medical Center, pending final approval from the city’s
Health Care Authority Tuesday night, will be owned and operated by the
city of Troy, and current owners will step down.
This will come at the expense of a 1-cent sales tax to be enacted
March 1. For a complete story, see Wednesday’s edition of The
Messenger.
