Cecil Travis Kessler, age 43, died Saturday, January 23, 2010 at his residence in Brundidge, AL. Travis was currently employed at Wal-Mart Supercenter, in Troy, AL. Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Prospect Baptist Church off of County Road 43, in Clayton, AL. with Bro. Kenneth Andrews officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to local charities or to Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery fund, c/o Nanny Mae Hartzog, 1034 Co. Rd. 43, Clayton, AL 36016.
Travis, aka Tiny, was born in Homestead, FL on June 21, 1966 to Sandra Green (Kessler) Fillingim and Eddy Lester Kessler. He was preceded in death by grandparents James Hubert and Mary Katheryn Green, Clayton, AL, Earl and Lena Mae Hindman, Tucson, AZ, his step-grandfather, Rev. Bufford Fillingim of Ozark, AL , his father, Eddy Kessler of Lordsburg, NM and nephew Baily Barker, Lordsburg, NM.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Sandra Green Fillingim and Leonard Fillingim, Banks; step-mother Frances Kessler, Lordsburg, NM; step-grandmother Jeanette Fillingim; daughter, Kelly Ann Kessler; sister Tami (Kessler) Troesch, nephews Jonathan Troesch, and Joshua Troesch, his wife Erica, and their daughter Emma; step-brothers, Randy Whipple, Philip Whipple, his wife Kim and children Steven Krock and his family, Joshua Whipple, Jacob Whipple, Brandon Whipple; step-sister Michelle Barker, her husband Jason and children Chance Mansfield, Colton Barker his wife Felicia, and daughter, and Justin Barker.
