Mr. David Conrad, age 84, a resident of Troy, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at his home. Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 9, 2010 at 5:30 pm in Oakwood Cemetery with Reverend Perry Green officiating and Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 9, 2010 from 4:30 pm util 5:30 pm at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mr. Conrad is survived by his wife Joyce Hare Conrad of Troy, his children and their spouses: Joy and Bill Montague, David Jr. and Cheryl Conrad, Bill and Betsy Conrad; grandchildren Amelia and William Montague, David and Liston Conrad and Bill and Sarah Conrad.
Mr. Conrad was an agent with New York Life Insurance Company for over 50 years, a member of the Troy City Commission, a member of the Troy City Board of Education. He was on the original Board of the Charles Henderson Child health Center. He was also a member of Troy Bank and Trust Company Board of Directors, a member of the First Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Mr. Conrad especially enjoyed his relationships with his many wonderful friends over the years.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Troy Public Library or The First Baptist Church.
