A portion of County Road 3323 will be closed beginning at 8 a.m. today as State Fire Marshals continue an investigation of the fire that destroyed much of Carter Brothers Monday.
County Engineer Russell Oliver said the request was made Wednesday afternoon.
“The road will be closed due to activities associated with the investigation of the fire at Carter Brothers,” Oliver said.
The road will close just in the vicinity of Carter Brothers beginning at U.S. Highway 231. Oliver said he couldn’t provide the exact distance of the closure.
The road closing will not have a detoured route, but he said this shouldn’t impact any residences on the street.
The road is expected to remain closed for the next four days, approximately.
