A Banks man faces 15 criminal charges related to forgery and identity theft in Geneva County.
Joe Senn, of Banks, has been charged with 13 counts of possession of forged instruments, one count of identity theft and one count of forgery.
According to Geneva County Sheriff Greg Ward, Senn purchased trucks from a man named Quinn Renfroe and then went on to use Renfroe’s tax identification number and name while completing work for a company based out of Samson.
Allegedly, when checks were issued as payment, they were made out to Renfroe.
Senn is said to have forged Renfroe’s name to the checks in order to receive the payment.
Warrants have already been issued for Senn’s arrest, and Ward said Senn was arrested and since released on bond.
Now, Senn must await the next Geneva County grand jury, which Ward said will convene sometime in the fall.
“We think the evidence will show that he is guilty of stealing this man’s identity,” Ward said.
