The Troy Planning Commission approved plat plans for two subdivisions Thursday.
The Hilltop Subdivision, which will be located on the south side of Butter & Egg Road, was given approval to create 12 lots ranging from 20,115 square feet to 41,051 square feet.
A plat had been previously approved for the subdivision in 2007, but that called for 13 lots, as opposed to 12.
A preliminary plat approval was also granted to The Ponds subdivision for Phase II of its construction.
The Ponds will have 30 lots on total across three cul de sacs, and will be similar to the houses already located on the property, which is the 1700 block of Henderson Highway.
All lots will face new roads created for the subdivision, and all houses will be connected to septic tanks, rather than to city sewage.
The homes at The Ponds will be between 1,000 and 1,000 square feet in size.
The existing homes face Henderson Highway, forcing residents to sometimes back their cars into Henderson Highway in order to get turned around.
However, plans for the new homes call for all homes to face the new roads that will be created for the subdivision.
