Dr. Ed Roach, executive vice chancellor and provost at Troy University, resigned Friday.
Roach was not available for comment Friday, but Troy Chancellor Jack Hawkins Jr. released a statement on Roach’s resignation.
“Dr. Ed Roach served Troy University well for eight years and I appreciate all he has done to make Troy a stronger university,” Hawkins said. “Dr. Roach played an integral role in the transformation of Troy University from three separately accredited universities into one unified institution. He was instrumental in the development of our first doctoral program, the doctorate of nursing practice”.
With Roach’s resignation, Dr. Earl Ingram will serve as his interim replacement.
“We have appointed Dr. Earl Ingram, vice chancellor for Global Campus, to serve as interim senior vice chancellor and provost,” Hawkins said. “I am sure Dr. Ingram will do an outstanding job.”
