The Troy Planning Commission tabled until October a request to annex a single lot on Enzor Drive, hoping to give the property owner time to expand the request.

“We don’t normally annex one lot,” said Calvin Lott, city planner.

The property at 244 Enzor Drive is owned by Tom and Nell Haigh, who purchased it in foreclosure as investment property. “At the time, we were unaware that the house was not in city limits,” Nell Haigh told the commission at its Thursday meeting. “We are in the process of renovating the house and we we would prefer to have city services.”

The Haighs were asked to consult with surrounding property owners to determine if others would join the request for annexation.

In other business, the commission also approved a request to subdivide the property at 109 Williams St. into two lots. The property was donated to Habitat for Humanity to be used for the construction of its houses and, because of the size of the property, the Habitat board sought to subdivide the lot to allow for the construction of two houses.
