Funeral services for Wiley Layvon Armstrong, 79, formerly of Brundidge, who died Thursday, October 7, 2010, in Abbeville, will be at 2 p.m. today at Shiloh Baptist Church with the Revs. J.C. turner, Avert Walker and Gerald Ross officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Thrash-Keahey Funeral home.

Visitationwas from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral hom.

The family will receive friends for an hour prior to services today at the church.

Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Yvonne Armstrong; two sons, Bobby (Holly) Armstrong of Alaska and Frank Armstrong of Alaska; and four grandchildren, Ryan (Krista) Armstrong, Kara Armstrong (Craig Axx), James Armstrong, Susan Armstrong.

Pallbearers will be Wiley C. Gray, James C. Armstrong, Donnie Hallford, Douglas Garrett, Ryan Armstrong and Craig Axx. Honorary pallbearers will be Joel Money, Wayne Shackleford and Frank Brunson.
