The busiest time of year is around the corner and the Pike County Chamber of Commerce is bringing the market to you with its first Holiday Market.
The market will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Troy Recreation Center. Admission is $5 per person.
“There will be a great variety of vendors selling items that will make great Christmas gifts and holiday decorations,” said Leigh Anne Windham, chamber president.
Local retail merchants and arts and crafts experts will be present to provide the community with a variety of shopping options for that perfect Christmas gift or décor. A lot of people have been inquiring about an organization sponsoring a holiday market explained Windham. “One of the jobs of the Chamber is to promote local shops and what better way to do that than the holiday market?” Windham said.
Participating local retailers will have booths displaying all sorts of items, from stocking stuffers to gifts and more. So far, stores participating include Cakes by Joyce, Amour Boutique, First Impressions, Renas` Boutique, Tahiti Tans, Collage Gifts and Apparel, Whaley Pecan, Renaissance Tans and Gifts, Maxine Florist, and Terra Cotta.
Windham said the Chamber still is accepting registration.
Local artists will provide arts and crafts items, including homemade soap, jewelry, botanical art, and hand-painted pillowcases, furniture and more.
If you are interested in having a booth, please call the Chamber office at 566-2294.
