Troy police need your help in locating two suspects wanted in an apparent strong-armed robbery that took place on Vine Street near Willow Street between 2 – 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Sergeant Benny Scarbrough, public information officer, said the victim was actually riding with his attackers just before the robbery took place.
“The Hispanic victim advised he was riding with a black male and a black female in a small two-door car when they stopped on a street, later determined to be Vine Street near the Carroll Street cemetery,” Scarbrough said. “The black male demanded money from the victim. The victim refused to give the perpetrator his money and was assaulted by the suspect.”
Scarbrough said the victim, although he refused to give money, reported that the suspect took an “undisclosed amount of money” and his wallet.
“The victim described the black male with a slender build in his mid-twenties,” Scarbrough said. “The black female was described as heavy built with a tattoo on her neck.”
The victim was transported to Troy Regional Medical Center’s Emergency Room for treatment of injuries received during the robbery.
Scarbrough said the case is still under investigation by the Troy Police Department.
