Melba Register Little

Mrs. Melba Register Little age 80 departed this life on Sunday, August 14, 2011.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 10:30 am from the Chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Bobby Templin officiating. Burial will follow in the Shellhorn Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.

Visitation was held Monday, August 15, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is preceded in death by her husband James H. Little; a daughter, Mary Lou Faulkner; her parents, John William and Mary Register; three brothers, John Dallon, James and Ashley Register; and five sisters Ancie Bell Thomas, Myrtis Register, Lucille Davenport, Irma Davenport and Janie Register.

She leaves behind two daughters and their husbands, Susan and Dennis Griffith, and Tess and Adam Rountree; a son-in-law Wayne Faulkner; three grandsons and their wives, Jeff and Karen Faulkner, Jamie and Leslie Johns, and Timothy and Ashley Rountree; three great-grandchildren. Christy and Cailey Faulkner, and Julie Johns; three brothers Russell, Nelson and Ebon Register; and a sister Mary Frances Davis.

Miss Melba was a kind and loving soul, who always greeted everyone with a smile. She enjoyed reading her bible everyday and singing. She was very much loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Her passing leaves an emptiness in our hearts.

Active pallbearers will be Jeff Faulkner, Jamie Johns, Timothy Rountree, Josh Lee, John Ashley Register and Tim Spivey.

Memorials may be made to the Shellhorn Cemetery or the Alzheimer’s Association.
