From dynamic percussionists to fast-footed dancers to musical performances reminiscent of favorite bands, the Troy Arts Council consistenly brings excellent events to Pike County.

For years, the volunteer members of the TAC have worked tirelessly to offer engaging and entertaining programs to our community.

This year is no exception, with a lineup that includes a pianists whose works include improvisations of Broadway and jazz music; the American Chamber Players; percussionists Bob Becker and Russell Hartenberger; and a comedy team that spoofs classical music.

The diversity of the season’s offerings reflects the TAC’s commitment to offering a broad range of arts experiences to the community, including sponsorship of the TroyFest arts festival each year and grants and scholarships for teachers and students to help foster arts education.

And the Troy Arts Council does all this with donations and grant funding.

One of the key sources of support for the TAC is its Patron’s Drive, the annual fund-raiser which invites community members to become patrons of the arts through varying levels of support. Patronage packages include tickets to TAC events, reserved seating and more.

But the most important benefit is the knowledge that by becoming a patron of TAC you are helping to foster and nurture the arts in our community. Whether your tastes are classical or modern, comedy or drama, the performing arts have something to offer. Thorugh performances and arts, minds and hearts and stirred; connections are forged; and inspiration is found.

So come to the reception from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at The Studio on East Walnut Street in downtown Troy and learn more about the Troy Arts Council and how you can support it through becoming a patron.
