Reception honors pageant winners

Good luck receptions will be held Monday for the Miss and Little Miss pageant winners who will represent Pike County and its communites in Dothan at the annual Miss Peanut Festival pageants in the fall.
The Troy Good Luck reception will be held from 5:30 until 7 p.m. Monday at the Alpha Delta Pi House on Sorority Hill on Elm Street in Troy.
The reception will honor Little Miss Troy Allie Scarbrough, Miss Pike County Chrisy Nicole Jones and Miss Troy Hannah McDonald.
Little Miss Troy Allie Scarbrough is seven years old and in the second grade at Troy Elementary School. She is the daughter of Paul and Jamie Scarbrough.
Miss Pike County Christy Nicole Jones is a graduate of Charles Henderson High School and a sophomore at Troy University. She is majoring in English education with a minor in Spanish. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Her parents are Michael and Tammy Jones.
Miss Troy Hannah McDonald is a sophomore at Troy University and is a member of Phi Mu Sorority. Her major is psychology. Hannah’s parents are Bubba and Gail McDonald of Prattville. She is the granddaughter of Betty Powell of Troy.
The Goshen Good Luck Reception will be from 6 until 7:30 p.m. Monday at Goshen Town Hall. The honorees will be Little Miss Goshen Joelee Jackson and Miss Goshen Melissa Sullivan.
Little Miss Goshen Joelee Jackson is eight years old and in the second grade at Goshen Elementary School. Her parents are Joey and Tammy Jackson.
Miss Goshen Melissa Sullivan is a 2011 graduate of Goshen High School. She is a nursing major at Troy University and a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Her parents are Mark and Lillis Sullivan.
The Miss Peanut Festival pageants will be held at the Dothan Civic Center. The Miss Pageant will be at 6 p.m. Oct. 1. The Little Miss Pageant will be at 6 p.m. on Oct. 15.
