George “G.W.” Washington Carnley

George “G.W.” Washington Carnley, age 79, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Alabama and the son of the late Willie and Bessie Marshall Carnley. Mr. Carnley was a rancher and attended West Park Street Church in Erwin, TN. Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Jerry Longcor. Mr. Carnley leaves behind his daughters, Martha Faye Whatley and husband, Bill, Carolyn Annette Longcor, Sherry Williams and husband, Ronald; ex-wife, Patricia Carnley; step-children, Marquita Davis, Cindy Garmon, and Jerald Gadbury.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 in the Chapel of Valley Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be shared with the family and viewed at www.valleyfuneralhome.net.
