Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union is now accepting applications from high school juniors and seniors for a new Youth Council.
The goal of AACFCU’s Youth Council is to educate students about the credit union and banking industry. Students will also learn about money management. Youth Council members will also work with the credit union on one community service project and AACFCU will partner with each member’s school on a community service project, as well.
The first class will run from February to May, but after the inaugural run, the Youth Council will coincide with the school year. Members will meet every six weeks on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. for about an hour.
Students who want to be on the Youth Council must be a member of the AACFCU and those interested can join the credit union any time before submitting their application.
Applications can be downloaded from www.aacfcu.com, or obtained from area high school counselors. The application deadline is Jan. 25.
