Willie Mae Harris

Willie Mae Harris was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Cape (Elizabeth) Jackson on January 5, 1917. On Friday, March 9, 2012, God whispered sweet peace to the soul of Willie Mae Harris, and took her home to rest. She was ninety-five years old, a homemaker and a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Orion.

Services for Willie Mae Harris will be held from Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church in Orion at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2012, with Pastor Annie Mays officiating. Internment will follow in Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Orion under the direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.

Mrs. Harris was preceded in death by her husband, W. T. Harris; her son, Willie D. Hendricks; and her daughter, Susie McCullough.

She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her son, Chris (Allison) Simmons, Troy; daughter-in-law, Katherine Hendricks, Inkster, MI; grandchildren, Willie James McCullough, Indianapolis, IN, Doris Jean Hendricks, Troy, Doris (Jim) Anderson, Montgomery, Michelle Hendricks, Inkster, MI, and Claudia Graham, GA, and a host of great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
