Mr. Michael Dillard Adams of Willacoochee, Ga., and Mrs. Susanne Garrett Adams of Troy announce the engagement of their daughter, Chelsey Susanne Adams, to Matthew Owen Roberts, son of Mr. and Mrs. Owen Earl Roberts of Hoover.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Robert Garrett and the late Lorene Garrett of Banks and Idolene Adams and the late Alfred Adams of Midway.

Chelsey is a 2006 graduate of Pike Liberal Arts in Troy and a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.   She is employed by the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Corrine and W. Howard McConnell and the late Inez and Owen Roberts, both of Birmingham.

Matthew is a 2004 graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School in Birmingham and a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing.  He is employed by St. Vincent’s Health System in Birmingham.

The couple will be married on May 19, 2012, at the Old House at Meriwether in Lapine.
