PLAS baseball defeats Lee-Scott

AUBURN – No. 2 Pike Liberal Arts knocked off No. 4 Lee-Scott, 10-9, on Thursday.
Chandler Avant was 3-for-5 in the game with a single, double, and triple.
Dalton Harris was 3-for-4 with a solo homerun in the first inning. Taytom Barnes also finished 3-for-4.
Lawson Stewart got the start on the mound for the Patriots. Stewart pitched into the seventh allowing seven earned runs on eight hits. He walked two while striking out five.
Will Starling closed out the game, pitching the final inning.
The Patriots (21-5, 12-2) have now defeated a pair of top-five teams in three days. Pike beat third-ranked Glenwood, 8-4, on Tuesday.
Pike Liberal Arts will return to action April 16 as they travel to Fort Dale in Greenville. Game time is set for 3p.m.
