Charles Henderson High School will hold a two week summer football camp beginning June 11.

The camp will be for kids rising to second through eighth grades.

The first week of camp will run June 11-14 with second week being held June 18-21. Camp will start at 10:30 a.m. each day and conclude at noon. Each day the event will be held at the Charles Henderson practice football field.

Registration will be held Monday, June 11, from 10-10:30 a.m. at the Charles Henderson Athletic Facility.

Cost for the two week camp is $25 per child and $40 per family.

Campers are asked to bring cleats or tennis shoes and their own sports drinks. Water will be provided as well as a camp T-shirt.

The instructors will consist of Charles Henderson High School varsity football staff members. Each individual will receive instruction on fundamentals, basic strength and conditioning techniques, and speed drills.

The staff aims to better the campers understanding of the game of football, help build self-confidence, and expose them to a fun-filled experience with other boys of the same age.

Previous experience in the game of football is not needed and at no time will there be any contact.

The goal is to help each child gain knowledge of the fundamentals basic to the game.
